The Real Story

The year was 2013. A Swedish teenager calling himself Eroxxie had recently got his hands on the engine Game Maker and wanted to make a zombie game as his first game. It would soon be named BrainZ.
BrainZ was my first ever game i published on the internet and since it was my first, the result was a bit faulty.

4 years later in 2017 i created a remake of the game, adding more features based on the original game design. It added more to BrainZ and the gameplay, but looking back at it, i could add so much more and frankly, i don't think it's that fun. And slaying zombies should be fun right?

BrainZ: The Final Remake uses the same but improved gameplay as the original game + the 2017 remake with you trying to survive a horde of zombies. Survive as long as possible until they kill you and try to get a high kill count! The biggest features that this version has is  that now there are multiple weapons that has to be scavenged and some with unique weapon properties (such as flares can make a zombie burn or a RPG create explosions), a more advanced level selection and game settings.

Gameplay info

Survive as long as possible and get the a high kill count. HP packs, weapons drops and ammoboxes spawns randomly from time to time.

Controls

  • A & D: Movement
  • Space: Jump
  • Mouse: Aim weapon
  • Left Mousebutton: Fire gun
  • R: Reload
  • E: Pick up weapon
  • Q: Drop weapon
  • ESC: Exit to menu while ingame
